Dr.
David A. Toke received his B.S. in Biology (1980), M.S. in
Zoology (1985) from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey,
and Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology (1996) from Rutgers,
The State University of New Jersey and the University of
Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Graduate School of
Biomedical Science. He did a three year postdoctoral fellowship
in lipid metabolism at Cook College a division of Rutgers
University. He is currently an Assistant Research Professor and
Laboratory Manager in the Department of Genetics at Rutgers
University, and an Associate Managing Director of the Rutgers
University Cell & DNA Repository (RUCDR). He is a
Co-Investigator on active U.S. National Institutes of Health
awards for the NIMH Center for Collaborative Genetic Studies on
Mental Disorders, and the National Institute of Diabetes,
Digestive and Kidney Diseases, (NIDDK) Genetics Repository, and
Project Manager for the NIDDK-Genetics Repository. He has served
as local councilor for the New Jersey Chapter of Microbiology
and is currently on the National Council for the International
Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER).
He has over twenty years of direct cell culture experience in
human, eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms, and is proficient
in Cytogenetic and Biochemical Genetic analyses of human derived
cells and tissues.
