Dr. Amrik Sahota - Associate Scientific Director
Dr. Sahota is Professor of Genetics at Rutgers University and
Associate Scientific Director of RUCDR, with direct
responsibility for activities related to DNA extraction,
storage, distribution, and quality control. He is also Clinical
Professor of Pathology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and
Director of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory at Robert Wood
Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, where he is
responsible for the development, implementation, and clinical
evaluation of molecular diagnostic tests for genetic,
hematological, and infectious diseases. Dr. Sahota is certified
in Clinical Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical
Genetics and is a Fellow of the American College of Medical
Genetics and of the Royal College of Pathologists (United
Kingdom). He has extensive research experience and publications
(see– Appendix T.D.-Key Personnel Biosketches for partial
listing) in human molecular genetics and clinical diagnostics,
in developing and implementing clinical assays (including those
related to transplantation), and in quality control of
laboratory procedures (e.g., CAP certification), including
statistical analysis.
